USU is hosting a Scholars Day for high-achieving juniors on Friday, May 20th. These students will get a sneak preview of world changing research projects and what the USU Honors Program has to offer. See counselors for registration instructions or questions.
Attention National Honor Society Members: Our last meeting/closing social will be held during lunch next Wednesday, May 11th. You will be nominating and voting on next year's presidency also. Please start considering who you might nominate or have nominate YOU if you are interested in one of the 4 presidency positions. Those who are elected will need to attend the Induction ceremony that night at 7 p.m. so keep that date and time open in case you are elected!!
Awards Night will be Tuesday May 3 @ 7:00 PM. USU, BYU and BYU- I will be here to award scholarships. If you know you are receiving a scholarship from one of these colleges and would like to be recognized, you are welcome to attend. PHS Scholarships and Department Awards will also be awarded this night. Please come in best dress.
Girls interested in basketball, we are starting open gyms on Tuesday and Thursday's in the NEW GYM at 4:15pm. Please make sure it's OK with your other team sports. Come along and have some fun in open gym. If other Girls are interested in playing Basketball, please have them come along. 8th Grade Girls from the middle school are also welcome.
RISING STARS SOFTBALL
A new softball league for mentally & physically challenged youth from 6th – 12th grade is being organized. We are looking for students (7th – 12th grade) to help. Each special needs player will have a volunteer buddy who will commit to teach and help players learn and enjoy the game of softball. If you are interested in being a part, please pick up a registration form at the office or contact Olivia Cannon.
If you know you need to attend summer school, please pick up an application from your counselor.
The Sci-Fi Club Art Contest is underway. Entries can be in any medium (pastel, clay, paint, digital, sketching, etc.) but must be Sci- Fi or Fantasy themed. Must be school appropriate with minimal gore. They are due THURSDAY and must be turned in to Mr. Ormond or one of the Sci-Fi/Fantasy presidency. Good luck!
