Congratulations to the Preston FFA Soil and Land Evaluation team which took 1st at state yesterday in Burley.
They placed 4 individuals in the top 10 - Paytton Alder 1st, Hayden Atkinson 5th, Justis Crossley 7th, and Steven Roberts 8th. They will now represent Idaho in Oklahoma this coming May at the National Event. Each team member also receives a $500 scholarship to University of Idaho upon High School graduation.
Congratulations to the Preston Cross Country team.
The Boys finished 1st place overall and the girls 4th at the Preston Invite yesterday.
Riley Reid was 2nd overall, Josh Harrison 3rd, Sam Jeppsen 5th, Edsison Leffler 8th, Garrett Hale 9th, Ranger Davidsavor 15th, and Dawson Leffler 17th. Andi Bell was 8th overall, Mckinley Scott 9th, Paige Shumway 12th, Harley Larson 26th, Emma Johnson 31st, and Rachel Lee was 35th.

There is a sign up sheet on the hall wall by room 109 for National Honor Society members for helping
with the Festival of Lights activities.
Please be sure to pick a time you can help and sign up there.
There is also a flyer regarding the NHS Scholarship you can apply for if you are an NHS member in good standing. Mrs. Hayes will also have copies of the instructions to apply if you are interested.
Also, if you were not at the first meeting, you MUST contact Mrs. Hayes or Mrs. Melinda Harris with your contact information and shirt size preference by TODAY. If you have not provided your information nor paid your dues by then, you will not be able to get a shirt and be able to participate as a NHS member.
The wheelchair basketball fundraiser for the Franklin County Community Center that is supposed to be held this Saturday is still in desperate need of teams and entertainment. If you would like to have some fun trying to compete against others in wheelchair basketball or have a talent you are willing to share at this event, please contact a leader of the Key Club or NHS, to sign up for this event.
VETERAN’S DAY ASSEMBLY
On Monday, November 12 we will be having our Veteran’s Day Assembly @ 2:00 PM in the new gym. We are asking any Veterans to come and be honored. If you have any family, friends, or neighbors that are veterans, please invite them to come and be recognized in front of our student body. Contact the school for more information. We are also asking our students to dress in their best dress to show respect to our veterans.

1) Seniors, the FAFSA Fill-out & Scholarship Info night is coming up on Thursday, October 18th, from 7-9 p.m. at the PHS library. You and a parent or guardian are invited. This is a BIG step to get ready for the next step! Create your FSA ID ahead of time at fsaid.ed.gov.
2) New scholarships are posted at ccr.psd201.org, including scholarships for Hispanic students and interests like automotive, band & orchestra, athletics, & women in computer science.
And, hey! The Coca-Cola scholarship application is now live! When you apply, save a copy of your application and use that info to apply for other scholarships throughout the year.
