Make sure you sign the Senior Shirt in your Government class today! If you forget to sign in your government class, please go to Mrs. Knapp’s room. Senior orders will be due January 20th. Order forms can be picked up in Mrs. Knapp’s room also.
There is a MANDATORY MEETING on MONDAY for all students going on the band/choir trip. Meeting starts @ 12:30 so eat quickly and hurry to the band room.
The ASVAB will be given January 26th. Any junior or senior who is interested in career exploration or interested in joining the military should take the ASVAB. Sign up in the counseling office.
Seniors need to submit/share a baby picture, senior picture and any other pictures for the senior slideshow on Onedrive to Mikayla Belew. If you don’t send a senior picture, the one from the yearbook will be used. Please get all pictures sent in by January 29th.
Black light stag dance – January 28th – after the ball game with Pocatello. 9 – 11 PM. Admission is $3 without t-shirt - $6 with a t-shirt.
Sweetheart Dance (Girl’s Choice) – February 13th
Semi Formal – same as homecoming (which means boys wear best dress, girls wear formal wear) – Tickets are $15 if purchased at the office, $20 at the door. You will need to complete a guest pass if you are bringing someone from another school
If you have taken college credits while in high school and you have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, you may be eligible for the New Step Ahead Scholarship. This scholarship is for $1,000 for your first semester only at ISU. Visit www.isu.edu/scholar. On this site you will be directed to the BOSS, which will recommend scholarships or automatically apply you to certain scholarships once you have completed your general application.
APPLICATIONS FOR CREDIT
Students who have gone over their allowed 7 absences may pick up an application for credit at the office. These are due by January 21st. They will be reviewed by a committee and credit is not guaranteed. Students may apply for credit only one time during a school year, which means if you apply for credit reinstatement 1st semester, you may not apply 2nd semester.
Preston's FAFSA Fill-out Night is scheduled for February 4th, from 6-8 p.m., in the media center. Graduating seniors and their parents are invited! If you're planning to get any kind of training after high school, then you should fill out the FAFSA--the Free Application for Federal Student Aid! You can do this in less than an hour. Find out if YOU qualify for Pell Grant money.
Bring along your Social Security card and any 2015 W-2's for yourself and your parents.
